Margarite Timm and her children J.J. & Nevaeh

Margarite Timm was saved by Jesus Christ on January 27, 2016. Anyone that meets her will notice a deep joy that comes from within. Her smile radiates an assurance that God is in control. Margarite and her children," J.J." (Jared) and Nevaeh (Heaven spelled backward), faithfully attend the services and participate in the activities of The Door church in Tempe, Arizona.

It's not always been this way...

Margarite used to be a drug addict. She did meth for 10 years and was in an abusive relationship with a man from Oregon. At one point she wanted to kill him, and another time he actually tried killing her twice in one night. That caused her to leave him and return to Arizona. She moved in with her Aunt and was her caregiver. She had sinned against the church 15 years ago and had been dodging the church ever since. But God was drawing her back. She knew she needed to talk to Pastor Aulson but couldn't reach him. She felt a nudge to come to church, and had "a battle with the devil in the parking lot". Mary B, (her 'church mom'), encouraged her to "get her heart right and to talk to Pastor". Margarite did that on 1/27/16. She says, "Pastor Aulson is like the father I never had. I could never repay that man for what he's done for me and my children. God has given us a gift with our pastor, (and all of our leaders!)"

Since she's been saved, she's seen God intervene in several situations. She was getting ready to move from a cockroach-infested place, but God said, "stay... a great blessing is coming your way", and "I'm going to take care of you". She found out that new owners had bought the property the day before and were giving amnesty for past due rent for the prior owners. Margarite says the new owners were 'heaven sent'! Another time, she had lost her job at Walmart because she had been out sick with bronchitis. She didn't fight it because she "knew that God would take care of us... He always has and He always will!" She had 2 boxes of secular stuff, (books, movies, t-shirts, blankets), worth about $500 and she threw it all away. She started claiming promises from the Bible that she wanted. She got a filling of the Holy Ghost unlike ever before. She had a spiritual breakthrough when she threw all that stuff out! She has favor with her new job and dominion... She prays for that every day.

Jesus has helped her with her kids also. They enjoy their time together. They have no TV. They don't listen to any secular music, (only Christian music). The 3 of them read the Bible together. They have more "us" time than they did before.

Margarite has some advice for a non-believer... "You're wasting your life with the bars. You won't find what you're looking for. The only place you'll find it is in Jesus!"
